Negative Space

Looking over my Cintiq I've been looking at this hummingbird feeder for some time now. Not a great pic.

I don't just notice the hummingbirds. For some reason the negative space around the hooks and how they fit inside the negative space in the distant trees in the background has always caught my eye. It's directly over the center of my screen and I can't help but see it daily.

The trees have gotten a bit more lush in the last two years and that negative space has filled in a bit. It used to be a perfect fit where the two hooks nestled inside. There is also a new house as you can see being built which is encroaching upon my little fixation.

This isn't important and yet it seems to mean something. A glimpse into my creativity or psyche perhaps.

I wanted to take a photo just to illustrate how my little brain works. Welcome to my world.
